COPENHAGEN DREAM HOUSE dance music art production Copenhagen Dream House is initiating and producing new collaborations between Danish and international artists in dance, installation art, music and performance. With productions and co productions in Denmark, around Europe, the US and other continents, Copenhagen Dream House reaches out both to the international performance, music and art scene, to cosmopolitan artists networks, and to local communities and smaller cities. Copenhagen Dream House exists since 1991, initiating and providing artistic exchange programs, scholarships, educational programs and production facilities for artists. Our main focus continues to be the ENCOUNTER between artists with passionate ideas and different perceptions of the world. Live Art Installations
site specific events, dance installations, interactive art art/nature/technology, large scale choreography, water/fire installations live music/composition, sound/light installations, robots /interactivity international artists, collaborative art, audience interaction Live Art Installations is a Copenhagen based art project created within a realm of artistic collaboration between choreographers, dancers, composers, musicians, installation artists, engineers and designers from around the world. Since 2001 a core group of Danish and international artists worked together out of Copenhagen, San Francisco and Berlin, exploring and challenging new artistic creations and experiments. Recent productions are large scale site specific events Crane Dance, Submarine Ballet, Elsinore Harbor, Koege Harbor, and the Half Machine installations and events. Choreographer and installation artist Pipaluk developed the concept ‘Live Art Installations’, also known as ‘Half Machine’, and her productions introduced a new idea in art and dance, where strong physical performers interact with installation artists, musicians, programmers, engineers and scientists in an open environment. The objective is true research and the audience become an integrated part of the experience. The artists are offered a theme and invited to join an installation sphere or a performance interaction. Live Art Installations is created in collaboration with dancers, installation artists, engineers and musicians from around the world. Here some of our artists involved in current productions : PIPALUK SUPERNOVA Choreographer and artistic director, Pipaluk created in collaboration with Thomas Jorgensen and a group of international artists the art projects ‘Half machine’ and ‘Live Art Installations’ events where dancers, installations artists, scientists, engineers, programmers and musicians collaborate in large scale audience interactive installations on land and on water. More about Pipaluk. THOMAS JØRGENSEN Installation artist, light designer, specializes in large scale interactive installation works applying pyrotechnics, water and recycled materials. Thomas is a professional electrician, he also builds scenography, light sculptures and designs for interior and exterior spaces. More about Thomas work at this site. ANDREAS BENNETZEN Composer and musician, classical soloist on double bass, co creator of sound environments and original compositions for Half Machine and Live Art Installations, and is arranging and writing music for many artists. Has recently released the solo album “Flowing in Circles” under his alias Andy Benz with 9 original compositions for electronic double bass and live looping techniques.
